Merit Scholarship

Competition is held each spring and judged by an independent panel. Open to intermediate or advanced students, not in their senior year, who are studying a major instrument or voice at BMS in private lessons, and who are recommended by their teacher.**

Incentive Scholarship

Half-tuition one-year scholarships are available for students ages 9 – 16 to study “endangered” instruments: French horn, bassoon, and trombone. Scholarships are also available for selected violin students in the Viola Development project and Mixed Notes. Call the School for further information.

Music Marathon

This 3-day marathon of student performances is the major fundraiser for BMS and it raises money for educational programs. All BMS students are encouraged to participate. Save the dates for the next Marathon weekend April 9 – 11, 2010.

** Participation in the marathon is required for financial aid and merit scholarship recipients. Participation means both performing during the weekend and collecting pledges.
